| The arc of the wrap-around patio, the imposing upper level ring beam specifically engineered to co-exist with the views sans supporting pillars are key elements. Others are the curve of the sizeable infinity pool and the high backed rounded shape of the sandstone bench; all of these combine to transform the horizons into curves. The result: this elegantly contemporary home boasts some of the most unusual sea and mountain views in Camps Bay.

| High up on the slopes of the Table Mountain Reserve, the house overlooks Camps Bay beach and nestles between Lion¹s Head and the Twelve Apostles. Design and décor were integrated to take advantage of the 360-degree panoramic sea and mountain views. The environment, the architectural synergy and the understated luxury of the interior, merge and flow in perfect harmony in this tranquil haven of natural beauty, light, and elegance.

Tones of travertine permeate the spaces and, at risk of being overtly minimalist, owners Ian and Sally Merrington chose a single tone off-white for the interior signature in order to focus attention over the Atlantic ocean to to the elliptical horizons. Pale cream travertine tiles were individually selected by the owners to line the entrance hall and provide a canvas for a decorative handwriting of off-whites and cool creams used in the lounge and dining areas. A focal point, is the awe-inspiring view from Clifton to Oudekraal and beyond.

| Outdoor living is catered for by an expansive travertine-tiled upper patio, simply furnished with a pair of wooden loungers, an elegant sandstone table and eight Zen chairs; all are finished in off-white. The master suite opens onto this upper patio and is decorated in shades of creams and whites with occasional gold accents. Views of the Atlantic invoke a feeling of sailing on a luxury cruise liner and transparent glass bricks were fitted in the main bedroom to allow a sea view from the double shower in the travertine-lined en suite bathroom.

| The travertine stairwell features a custom-made glass and travertine balustrade with a small Zen garden and water feature at mid-level. The large open-plan informal living area has a dramatically arched ceiling which
draws the eye to the large infinity pool and beyond. Two luxury suites on the lower level are sea-facing and both lead out onto the lower wrap-around patio overlooking the solar-heated pool which has two shallow-ends and a deep middle section. The suites are decorated in natural tones with pure white percale cotton bed linen, as a foil for cupboards and cabinetry in maple which are a feature throughout the home.

A feeling of infinity is evoked by the pale blue water of the pool seemingly cascading into the azure of the ocean beyond. White tile surrounds compliment a beige deck and natural forms in reconstructed sandstone are used on the pool deck and patios where the overall effect is one of sympathetic integration with the rest of the home. The owners iintention here was to achieve a soft palette of unassuming interior living spaces which provide a total focus on the surrounding horizons. Enfolded by nature, elegance and quiet luxury, this residence is a celebration of infinity.
